Bulgaria has close to a Billion leva in debt arrears – The Sofia Globe

Bulgaria is deeper in debt arrears in the first half of 2015 than last year. Debt collectors were asked to recover more than 983 million leva which is about 502.5 millions Euros.

Mobile phone operators made the most requests to debt collectors to recover 432 million leva in 2015.

International Monetary Fund

IMF unhappy over social security debt collection

The International Monetary fund has requested Greece to impose strict rules on operation of the Center for Collection of Social Security Arrears.

The IMF is not happy with the progress of the collections and have doubts about the targets set for the end of 2014.

State Supreme Court Decision Defines Forwarders as Collection Agencies – inside ARM

The Michigan Supreme Court recently expanded the definition of a collection agency to include forwarders and forwarding companies. Forwarding companies now require a collection agency licenses in the state.

In the case, forwarders were alleged to be operating as collection agencies without a proper license.
